The Piano Key knife came to life when my father decommissioned a 1889 piano that suffered water damage. He sent me the beautiful ebony keys in hopes that the history could be carried on in some shape or form, and this is what I landed on.
This knife is designed for small every day tasks. Overall length is 5.25” with a 2” cutting edge.
Crafted from 8670 high carbon steel.
Please note:
Carbon steel will rust. It must be hand washed and wiped dry after use.
Applying a light coat of mineral oil or wax is recommended as well. When taken care of properly, it develops a wonderful patina overtime that is unique to each user…we love that around here.
