The Friction Folder is designed for light tasks. The blade opens with moderate friction while your thumb holds the blade in the cutting position.
This simple design is nice when you need to make a quick cut and it would also make a great companion kicking around camp.
The brass pivot pin is peened into place, and the internal bronze washers make for a long lasting rugged design.
Overall knife length in the opened position is 7" and 4.25" when in the closed position.
Blade steel is classic 01 tool steel.
Please note:
Carbon steel will rust. It must be hand washed and wiped dry after use.
Applying a light coat of mineral oil or wax is recommended as well. When taken care of properly, it develops a wonderful patina overtime that is unique to each user…we love that around here.
