The blade is made from 8670 high carbon steel, known for holding a beautiful thin edge.
Please note:
Carbon steel will rust. It must be hand washed and wiped dry after use. When taken care of properly, it develops a wonderful patina overtime that is unique to each user…we love that around here.
Caring for your Barn and Brook knife:
Knives should only be hand washed and wiped dry.
An occasional light coat of cooking oil or B&B wood and steel balm should be applied to the handle and blade.
